The challenges we don't face become our fears.


The fears we don't face become our limits.


As we get to an older more interesting age, we fear more, we fear falling, we fear forgetting, we fear struggles with our health.


Instead of putting all those out in the universe as fears, let's put them out there as challenges. What can I do to alleviate those fears?


This month we are going to focus on a Big One – the fear of dementia.


But as you can see from the next picture, that encompasses your whole body and your lifestyle and that can be overwhelming all by itself.


Where do I start?

What do I choose?

What do I know I can accomplish this month? This week? Today?


Start with one Small step. And add to your steps in small bites and pieces.

Make it doable, FOR YOU.

I am going to pick a simple challenge for you to do TODAY! Challenge your mind with a word search to keep your mind active and working, improving your cognitive function. This word search contains many of the words that you need foremost in your mind to help you change your lifestyle a little at a time and challenge that fear for yourself.


Have fun and as you go through it think of how you can incorporate those words and activities into your life, a little bit at a time. Then take another small step. One small step at a time to change your fears into challenges!
